Save Lives. Prevent Suicides.

Yes, not every chest pain is heart attack. You maybe lucky if it is a gas problem, but why take risk. Let the cardiologist rule out. With history or with some tests if necessary.

Similarly, not all suicidal thoughts lead to suicide. But why take risk. Let a psychiatrist assess. If, its not serious, no treatment may be necessary. If it is serious, a psychiatrist will prescribe appropriate treatment.

Medications are not sedatives or addictive

ECT or Electro convulsive Therapy under Anesthesia is a painless, life saving procedure

No other professional other than a psychiatrist is trained to treat suicidal thoughts, intent, plan or attempt

If a close friend or relation or anyone has suicidal thoughts, intent, plans or attempt,

1. Take them to a psychiatrist as early as possible.

2. Or if there is a delay, keep them at a safe place like Hospital ER

3. or give them company till a psychiatrist is consulted.

Summary

Consult a psychiatrist.

Take treatment.
